ZESTEVILLE!

Hello!

So as you all know, I'm having a super duper long holiday after graduation and now I have nothing much to do, so I decided to do something productive like having fun with my imagination and create something new.

And here it is! A diorama of my personal dream town, Zesteville!

I was supposed to put mini toy cars on the road but I'm quite broke right now and I don't want to waste my money on something unnecessary, so I replaced them with my old toys and made a giant toy parade instead :)

And as you can see, colors and fun are in every corner of the town!

Allow me to take you to a tour.

This is the park everyone would enjoy. 2 lovely blue lake (one is deep enough for those who have boats), some large huggable trees, and a giant picnic rock. Why put a large rock, you ask? Well, the mayor used to spend her wonderful childhood on a giant rock, having a simple yet memorable picnic with friends or play hide-and-seek. She wanted the citizen to enjoy those unforgettable moments, too! Oh, and since the mayor loves astronomy, she decided to build an observatory, too. It's open for everyone on weekends. That should be a perfect place for people of all ages!

Ah yes, what's a town without an entertainment centre? An old-fashioned library for bookworms (and it has an old-fashioned cafe inside!) and a mall right beside it. There you'll find all sources of entertainment! Shopping centre, market, restaurant/cafe, bookstore, salon/spa, not to mention cinema! Best of all, the mall itself is a huge rubik's cube! Can you solve this one? ;)
Oh, and if you're craving for some ice cream in this hot sunny day, do visit the ice cream truck!

This is the neighborhood, where you can find all kinds of houses/apartments you like! There's the sandcastle townhouse for those who love tropical atmosphere, tree apartment (suitable for kids next door fans, hehehe), lego apartment (kids would love to live there!) and a gingerbread house! Don't worry, there's no cannibal grandma inside and the house is all safe. Just keep it away from the ants!

A way to make your kids enjoy school? Make it as fun as possible! The school principal decided to turn a huge double decker bus into classrooms! And don't worry, recess is still enjoyable with a playground on top of the bus! Ready for a (educational) ride?

Suffering from a stomachache or fever? Don't worry, this hospital is always ready to help you! Hospitality is everything in here, so don't worry about having to see grumpy doctors/nurses. And if you have to stay, you won't feel lonely, because the hospital itself is actually a large aquarium, so you actually have some lovely little friends around you :)

The sport centre is a home for sport maniacs and those who are trying to loose weight! We understand that everyone is different, so we offer many facilities for everyone to enjoy! Soccer field, swimming pool, the gym, and much more!

That's not all, here are some interesting facts you might want to know about this town:

1. Nobody hates monday in this town! Why? Because monday is a free ice cream day! Prepare a joke/performance for the ice cream guy and if he likes it, he'll hand you a scoop of free ice cream that'll make your day. If you're allergic to lactose,  might as well ask for a free cupcake instead.

2. There's a strange rule in this town; you have to put a smiley on your front door, which is why you see smiling doors everywhere. Why's that? Well, a sincere smile is the finest medicine and it would make everyone happy!

3. You can suggest an idea for the annual Zesteville parade (like the giant toys parade)! But please be as creative as possible. The mayor appreciates creativity!

So, who wants to stay? :)

PROLOGUE TO COLLEGE

My subconsciousness gave me a nice introduction to college some time ago.

In my dream, I was bicycling around the campus when I saw a guy standing on the intersection of the street. He introduced himself and after a few chats, he asked me where I'm going. I told him I'm on my way to the biggest building in our campus, which was right in front of us.

"Careful. A lot of us didn't make it through," he said. I began to see a group of smart-looking guys pass by, but there was some kind of an invisible wall blocking their way, so they all fell down to the ground eventually.

Being a bit stubborn and ambitious like always, I told him I'd rather die trying as he wished me good luck. I paddled my bicycle as fast as I could, but the ground shook so hard as if it was trying to keep me away from that building. I woke up just before I can reach the gate of that building.

I've finally recognized my true dream, but it's not going to be easy to make it come true. I have a feeling that big things will happen this year, either good or bad, but I'm always ready to face any kind of challenge since it only makes me stronger.

That moment is finally here! :D

ASTRAL FRIENDS

As a natural born astral traveler, astral journey through dreams is nothing strange to me anymore. It happens all the time, and although it can be tiring, it helps with my spiritual development too. Sometimes the experience can be creepy, and pleasing the other time.

While jumping from one era to another era, a place to another distant place, I've made friends with people I met in the astral realm. Most of these people are kids around my age, or younger. They came from different nation and race. Oh I do love diversity!

I remember visiting an empty town that appears to be somewhere in China. Not sure about the time setting of the place, but looking at the design and concept of the town, it's probably in 1970s. I stood up in front of an abandoned building with a group of school kids. They gave me a marker and asked me to help them make the town look more 'colorful' by drawing all over the walls of this abandoned building. Understanding their feelings and desire to see a happier place, I accepted the offer and spent my dream talking, laughing, and drawing with them. It was a great experience and as soon as I woke up I felt like some or one of them of them might be related to me somehow, regarding to the fact that I'm a Chinese descendant and I didn't get to see these kids by coincidence.

The second one I can remember is... a bit creepy. I believe that the experience took place in South-East Asia since some of the cites came with dark histories and background, but I'm not sure where it is exactly. I walked around a crowded place as a little boy approached and asked me to play with him. After having some fun, he brought me to his mother, who asked me for help. The boy told me his sister had been killed by a man, and now her soul can't pass afterlife because she is so full of grudge, and she demanded her mother, as the only one who can see her, to search for the murderer. So there we were, in an area full of people, looking for a sign of this man's presence. But as I followed this family, I also saw the spirit of the girl, all pale and full of scars. I woke up with an unfinished dream, but made my way back later to tell the girl that the murderer isn't matter anymore, and what matters now is the afterlife, where she can rest her soul in peace.

The third one is the latest of all, and from the atmosphere and place I knew it was in the US somewhere around 1970s or 1980s. Not familiar with the place, I walked on the street without direction when an African-American boy passed by and dropped his skateboard. I picked his skateboard for him and we eventually became friends. We decided to visit a toy and art shop, which was located across the street. We spent some time admiring all of those old school goodies and organizing a prank for the annoying shopkeeper, haha. It was a simple yet great dream, and whoever this kid is I hope he's having a great life in there :)

Well, if you're also an astral traveler, please do meet me for some astral fun/horror experience :p

Namaste!

ALL ABOUT ZESTEV

This blog has been active for years, but I haven't really written anything about myself. I figured I should write about myself more since I'm not in the mood of writing anything deep and serious like usual. Well, here goes :)

Siblings:

Many thought I'm the only child in my family, while in fact I actually have an older brother, but due to his medical problems, he needs to stay in another town far away from us, where he can get intensive therapies and medical attention.

Favorite Music Genre:

Well... I listen to all kinds of genre, except rap, hip-hop, and R&B. I like progressive rock, but also appreciate classical and jazz because I've learned classical piano for approximately 10 years, so I understand the beauty and complexity of such music.

Speaking about music, I'm a fan of Dream Theater. And my all-time favorite song is Octavarium.

Favorite Disney Characters:

Oh my, there are LOTS of them! But here are my all-time faves: Alice (since I can totally relate to her), Mulan (the most badass disney princess), Pocahontas (as a child she's my favorite), Snow White (because of her personality), Russell (he's simply adorable!), Flynn Rider (the most charming, hot, and realistic male character in disney, hehe).

Favorite TV Shows:

Hmm... I don't watch the television often, but I'm gonna go to Regular Show and Adventure Time. I used to watch CSI New York too. Somehow I'm not really into realistic TV shows, can't really tell why.

As a kid I used to watch Maurice Sendak's Little Bear, Franklin the Turtle, Powerpuff Girls, Lulu, Johnny Bravo, Hey Arnold, All That, Kenan and Kel, and lots more.

Favorite Books / Reading Materials:

Paulo Coelho's The Alchemist for sure! I used to read Enid Blyton's Famous Five and her other masterpiece as a kid. I also like Comet in Moominland, a book from a pen friend, and short story session in Kompas Newspaper. In conclusion, I adore anything imaginative, mindblowing, and unpredictable :) I'm looking forward to read Khalil Gibran and Rumi's masterpieces though.

Zodiac Sign:

I'm an absolute gemini.

Favorite Colors:

I like all colors of the rainbow, but my most favorite color is minty blue or sky blue. Yellow is okay though, and I don't like pink.

Favorite Superheroes / Villain / Vigilante:

The Question, Batman, Joker, Harley Quinn, Barry Allen/Wally West, Dr. Fate, Zatanna, Phantom Stranger, Green Lantern Corps, etc etc etc. Yeah, I guess I'm a DC person.

Philosophy, New Age, Space, Illustrations, Nature, Science, Cartoons, Scented Candles, Food, Debates, Crazy Stuffs people do in public, plans on taking over the lame and dull government, fatal punishments for Indonesia's corruptors.
